Just a few nights ago, we had our first pork from this year's pigs - and it was the best pork I'd ever had. I've been eating pork all my life, but this year's pork was better than ever.

This ended up being done later than I meant... but now here's the recipe for pickled asparagus, finally!
1 cup vinegar 1 cup water 1 Tbsp salt 1 Tbsp sugar Pack the asparagus into jars with hot peppers and garlic to taste. Boil the brine ingredients and pour over asparagus. Put the lids on the jars and let them sit. Refrigerate jars when cool. *NOTE* This recipe is for refrigerated pickles only! This recipe is not created for water-bath canning. |
